Abstract

The decline in purchasing power of the middle class affects various sectors, one of which is the tourism sector. This decline in purchasing power also affects tourist visits in Tembi Tourism Village. In 2024, tourist visits at Tembi Tourism Village decreased quite a lot compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, Tembi Tourism Village has conducted various promotional methods such as through social media, word of mouth, and through the Traveloka application. Through promotional media that has been used, it has not been effective and attracts tourists. Based on this background, this research and design aims to design and test the board game “Jelajah Tembi” as a medium for introducing tourism in Tembi Tourism Village for homestay visitors and users 12-45 years. The methods used include observation, data collection from the internet, and design thinking approach. The results of testing the “Jelajah Tembi” board game show that this game is an effective and entertaining media in introducing tourism in Tembi Tourism Village to the target audience. The “Jelajah Tembi” board game is expected to be a new interactive and entertaining media to promote tourism in Tembi Tourism Village. Keywords: Board game, Tembi tourism village, Promotion
