Abstract
Kalis Donuts is a local artisan donut brand that has been around since 2019. Even though it offers high-quality products, the brand still lacks a complete and consistent visual identity. This design research aims to create a visual identity system that is clear, flexible, and able to reflect the brand's values. A qualitative method was used by collecting data through interviews, observation, document analysis, and open-ended questionnaires. The findings helped identify visual preferences of consumers and the character of the brand. Based on this, the design was developed using three main principles: Natural, Mature, and Creative. These principles were used to organize visual elements into fixed and flexible assets, so they can be applied consistently in both brand-based and theme-based designs. The final outcome is a visual identity system that strengthens brand recognition, helps build emotional connection with the audience, and positions Kalis Donuts more clearly in the competitive dessert market. A strong and well-planned visual identity can help gain consumer trust and loyalty.
