Abstract

This design project focuses on the creation of a culturally themed souvenir in the form of a miniature traditional Lampung house, utilizing 3D printing technology. Traditional houses in Lampung are part of Indonesia's rich cultural heritage and hold significant potential to be promoted through innovative souvenir products. The application of 3D printing is selected due to its ability to produce highly detailed and precise models, along with the flexibility to use environmentally friendly materials. The design process involves data collection through observation, literature review, and interviews with relevant sources, followed by the development of 3D models, optimization for printing, and the final production stage. The outcome is a miniature representation of the Lampung traditional coastal house, ation of the preserving essential architectural characteristics such as structure, ornamentation, and proportions. The souvenir is not only intended as a keepsake but also functions as an educational and promotional medium to introduce and preserve Lampung's cultural identity, especially among the younger generation. This initiative marks an early step in developing 3D printing-based souvenirs with a cultural heritage approach, aiming to combine traditional values with modern technology for wider cultural appreciation and sustainable creative industry development.
