Abstract

This study analyzes the use of color and typography in Jawa Pos Radar Bojonegoro's Instagram posts to understand how these visual elements enhance the effectiveness of local media communication. The study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach and visual content analysis for the period January-June 2025. The main findings indicate that blue (medium blue and dodger blue) dominates to create a professional and calm impression, while yellow is used in dynamic content to attract the attention of young audiences. White as a background enhances the readability of the content. In terms of typography, the combination of sans-serif fonts in the main title and serif fonts in the supporting text creates a balance between modernity and formality. Color patterns and typography are tailored to the type of content to capture attention and support message delivery. This study demonstrates that consistent visual elements are effective in capturing audience attention and increasing engagement on the Instagram platform. These findings are expected to provide practical guidance for local media in developing more effective visual strategies.
