Abstract
Globalization has an impact on almost all aspects of human life. One of them is seen in the increasing popularity of street food offering modern cuisine to the younger demographic. Modern cuisine is considered tastier and cooler than traditional cuisine. As a result, traditional cuisine became less popular with the younger generation. However, traditional cuisine is not just ordinary cuisine. Each dish has an interesting cultural, story, and philosophical values. In Wonogiri, Doplang Tourism Market is the place that sells those traditional cuisines. This market provides various traditional cuisines, from snacks that are still popular to snacks that are almost extinct. Doplang Tourism Market has a vision and mission to revive traditional cuisine, especially in Wonogiri. To help Doplang Market, the author designed a visual book as a medium to document and introduce traditional cuisine that exists in Wonogiri. The design comes from research that is done through observation, direct interviews, and data literacy. From this data, the level of existence of each food can be classified. In designing this visual book, the author considered the principles of design, layout, use of color, fonts, and the right illustration style to make this visual book an interesting book for its audience to get closer with the history and development of Pasar Doplang. With this design, it is expected to be a solution in documenting and preserving traditional food.
